Founder & Optometry Director
Dr. Fouladian earned his degree in Neuroscience from UCLA and his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. He completed rigorous training at the University Eye Institute and the VA Hospital in Albuquerque.
He subsequently served as a citizen private Optometrist at the U.S. Navy Air Force Base in San Diego during Operation Enduring Freedom. After more than four years of dedicated training and service, Dr. Fouladian returned to Los Angeles, where he worked for a prominent LASIK center across multiple locations. He spent four years specializing in pre- and post-operative LASIK management before moving on to various private ophthalmology and optometry practices to further broaden his clinical experience.
In 2003, he proudly opened Westwood Eye Center, and a decade later, expanded his care to the community by opening Montrose Eye Center. Today, Dr. Fouladian focuses heavily on preventative eye care, expertly managing patients for routine eye exams, specialized contact lens fittings, and high-quality eyeglasses.
He is supported by an exceptional group of employees with vast knowledge in the field of ophthalmic lenses and frames. Our dedicated staff excels at understanding patient needs and customizing optical solutions based on both lifestyle and affordability.
At our practice, we understand that finding an eye doctor or accessing healthcare professionals can be difficult these days. That is why we always welcome walk-in patients. As a community-focused optometry practice, we do our absolute best to accommodate and care for everyone we encounter.
Our on-site lab provides complete single vision glasses with 24-hour turnaround.
The future of eye care is rapidly evolving with new innovations and advanced diagnostic tools now accessible in our practice. Eye care plays a leading role in overall preventative healthcare, and modern optometrists have taken on a significant responsibility in this arena. As our population grows and the number of optometrists outpaces ophthalmologists, optometry has confidently taken the lead in comprehensive preventative and routine eye examinations.
Meanwhile, our partner ophthalmologists have shifted toward highly specialized surgical care, treating patients based on complex surgical needs. At Westwood & Montrose Eye Center, we welcome all patients for their primary and medical eye care. If the scope of a condition falls outside of advanced optometric management, we seamlessly refer patients to specialized ophthalmologists for further evaluation and treatment.
Dr. Fouladian works closely with some of the most esteemed cataract, glaucoma, and retina specialists across Los Angeles and Glendale. Our offices maintain a strong, collaborative rapport with well-qualified surgeons who share our unwavering commitment to the highest standards of patient care.
