How IPL Treats Dry Eye
Dry eye is often driven by a vicious cycle of inflammation. In patients with Ocular Rosacea or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), tiny, abnormal blood vessels (telangiectasia) form along the eyelid margins. What to do Before & After

Before Treatment
- No Tanning: You must avoid direct sun exposure and self-tanners for 3-4 weeks prior. The skin cannot be tanned.
- Stop Retinols: Discontinue Retinol, Retin-A, and harsh exfoliating acids 1 week before treatment.
- Come to the appointment with a clean face (no makeup).
After Treatment
- Mild redness (like a light sunburn) is normal for 1-2 days.
- You must wear strong SPF Sunscreen daily.
- Continue your prescribed dry eye drops and warm compresses as directed by Dr. Fouladian to maximize the healing of the glands.
